Robynn Smith received her BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA in Spatial Arts from San Jose State University. Since 1989 Ms. Smith has been a studio arts instructor at Montery Peninsula College and has served as the chair of the Creative Arts Division at MPC.

Robynn (the spelling of her name dates from an extremely boring afternoon in junior high math class) resides in Aptos, California, with her husband Gary Shapiro, her horse Noche, her dog Mouse, her cat Emu, and her goldfish Mr. Mean.
